A Boy Called Alex (Channel 4)

A Boy Called Alex opened Channel 4’s Cutting Edge season in January 2008.

A documentary film about a 16 year-old musical prodigy at Eton College who suffers from the incurable disease cystic fibrosis, nominated for three BAFTAS (Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Editing), also nominated for a Royal Television Society award for Best Documentary.

The film was directed by Stephen Walker and produced by Sally George. It attracted one of the highest-ever audiences of a Cutting Edge programme and received rave reviews.
